Spectators: 7323 (Terracing: 5494, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Guilherme Vinhas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Eliseu Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Caveira FC booed when Triangulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilherme Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Camargo having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caveira FC's goalkeeper Bruninho Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruninho Alves made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Waldemar Luz sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Triangulo defense, Guilherme Vinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Camargo. The Triangulo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Camargo should have stopped the shot. Caveira FC's Bruninho Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Azevedo in the 42nd minute of play. Baltazar Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Jorginho Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Baltazar Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Caveira FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique Azevedo made a kick off. When Cristóvão das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Caveira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão das Neves couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd match minute, Caveira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. When Agnaldo Dionísio fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caveira FC's protests and gave Agnaldo Dionísio a yellow card for diving instead. Guilherme Vinhas in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baltazar Camargo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jorginho Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
