Victor Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Anísio Cordeiro made a huge save. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sacramento's goalkeeper Enrique Simão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anísio Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacramento's Geovanni Borges. But to his dismay, Geovanni Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's Anísio Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Borges got free with Anísio Cordeiro in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Denílson Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sacramento's Geovanni Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Denílson Damião dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anísio Cordeiro, 2-0. Anísio Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Borges in the 27th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Geovanni Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacramento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovanni Borges's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Anísio Cordeiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geovanni Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Dudu Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacramento's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geovanni Borges to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Geovanni Borges sped through E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anísio Cordeiro. Thomás Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. If Geovanni Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Leite in the 75th minute of the match. João Carlos da Mata lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. With a little luck, Sacramento's Enrique Simão got control of the ball when Alexsandro Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enrique Simão made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Alexsandro Loyola sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Geovanni Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sacramento had played much better football throughout.
