Afonso Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Seco having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Claudinho Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Houston FC's Afonso Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Leal struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Telmo Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houston FC. When the referee blew the final whistle, SS Excellsior FC could leave the field as winners, despite Houston FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
