Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hílton Camargo kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Cadeado booed when PARNAHYBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Cadeado got a corner. PARNAHYBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Diamantino Rosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kléber Duarte was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Sebastião Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel das Neves having to interfere. If Sebastião Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cadeado's goalkeeper Abel das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Elder Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PARNAHYBA's protests and gave Elder Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PARNAHYBA getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Elder Nóbrega hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Edu Moura managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. With 29 minutes on the clock, Paulo Pinho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 30th minute, Paulo Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cléber Paraibano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diamantino Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel das Neves having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cadeado's zone, Sebastião Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel das Neves came out of the goal and Sebastião Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marcos Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oséas Macedo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cadeado's zone, Sebastião Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel das Neves came out of the goal and Sebastião Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Marcos Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Abel das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Cadeado got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Baptista. Marcos Quirino struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Abel das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PARNAHYBA. 63 minutes into the game, Hílton Camargo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cléber Paraibano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PARNAHYBA's Cléber Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Macedo in the 70th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Cadeado got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Duarte. Luís Guilherme Barreto hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Walmyr da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléber Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Hílton Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cadeado's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Marcos Quirino scored to the left of an out of position Abel das Neves, making the score, 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
