When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Sousa made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Afonso Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel das Neves was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel das Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Raúl Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Abel das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadeado's Abel das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Sousa in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natanael Ribeiro during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
