In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jeru SS's goalkeeper Agnaldo Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th play minute Guga de Godoi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Percy Prestes. 1-0. Agnaldo Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Capixaba in the 20th minute of play forced Jeru SS's goalkeeper Agnaldo Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Basílio Capixaba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jeru SS's Agnaldo Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agnaldo Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Basílio Capixaba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agnaldo Sergipano. Jeru SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basílio Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Jeru SS's Caio Maia got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Basílio Capixaba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agnaldo Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basílio Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Agnaldo Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Jeru SS got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Vander. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jeru SS's goalkeeper Agnaldo Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute Gilson Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Basílio Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Jeru SS's zone, Adriano Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnaldo Sergipano came out of the goal and Adriano Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agnaldo Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Capixaba in the 52nd minute. Basílio Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Agnaldo Sergipano made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Jeru SS's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Xavier came free, but Agnaldo Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.C. Brutamontes's Aloísio Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agnaldo Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Capixaba in the 61st minute. S.C. Brutamontes's Jaime Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-2 came through a penalty shot after 71 played minutes, when S.C. Brutamontes:s Basílio Capixaba calmly waited for Jeru SS:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. With a little luck, Jeru SS's Agnaldo Sergipano got control of the ball when Basílio Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Oliveira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. S.C. Brutamontes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Basílio Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Sergipano having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Basílio Capixaba notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Jeru SS's Agnaldo Sergipano. Agnaldo Sergipano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basílio Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Guga de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Basílio Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the S.C. Brutamontes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Capixaba couldn't finish the play.
