Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basílio Capixaba took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tesourinha's zone, Basílio Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wesley Pernambucano came out of the goal and Basílio Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Wesley Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tesourinha getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Falcão Rodrigues hit a great ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tesourinha's goalkeeper Wesley Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. William Linhares's late challenge caught a S.C. Brutamontes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tesourinha's William Linhares got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 11th minute Basílio Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Basílio Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Percy Prestes made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Vágner Chaves sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Basílio Capixaba made a precise shot to the right of Wesley Pernambucano. Tesourinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Wesley Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Capixaba in the 31st minute of play. Tesourinha's Wesley Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Xavier in the 32nd minute of play. Wesley Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Xavier in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Pernambucano saved Tesourinha from getting behind. In the 38thth minute of the game Jaime Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tesourinha's Wesley Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Percy Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, S.C. Brutamontes's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Machado came free, but Percy Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juvenal Machado made a kick off. Basílio Capixaba's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Wesley Pernambucano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aloísio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Pernambucano having to interfere. Juvenal Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Percy Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Pernambucano having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Aloísio Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Capixaba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Wesley Pernambucano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aloísio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Pernambucano having to interfere. S.C. Brutamontes's Jaime Xavier pulled a muscle in his leg after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 78 minutes into the game, Vito Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tesourinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Brutamontes the free kick. S.C. Brutamontes's Baltazar Dante was substituted for Jaime Xavier. After a rather tough play, Tesourinha's Vito Arantes got a free kick in the 79th minute. Tadeu Pinho's late challenge caught a S.C. Brutamontes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tesourinha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Wesley Pernambucano, was totally fooled by S.C. Brutamontes's Basílio Capixaba, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Machado in the 94th minute of play forced S.C. Brutamontes's goalkeeper Percy Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Tesourinha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.C. Brutamontes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
