Birutas FC's Di Daa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Birutas FC from getting a goal against them. After 10 minutes of play, Birutas FC's Fabrizio Varglien made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Víktor Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sandro Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Ortiz having to interfere. Chico Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Di Daa having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Fabrizio Varglien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birutas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrizio Varglien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrizio Varglien struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Víktor Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birutas FC. The supporters of Birutas FC booed when Icatu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Severo to make the kick off. Birutas FC's Di Daa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Teles in the 51st minute of play. Di Daa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Vinhas in the 52nd minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Vinhas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Birutas FC's Di Daa. Di Daa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandro Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrizio Varglien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Nelsinho Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Di Daa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Di Daa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano da Silveira went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Fabiano da Silveira took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Di Daa. Di Daa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Di Daa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Icatu SC's Nelsinho Vinhas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Di Daa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 78th match minute, Birutas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Lara to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Teles in the 82nd minute of play forced Birutas FC's goalkeeper Di Daa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Amílton Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Di Daa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Gualter Dante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Birutas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icatu SC the free kick. The supporters of Icatu SC booed when Birutas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Di Daa. Birutas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Teles in the 86th minute of play forced Birutas FC's goalkeeper Di Daa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Chico Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Di Daa. Birutas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Icatu SC's Amílton Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Icatu SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
