Falcão Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willian Camargo having to make a save. In the 19th minute, Ian Lira made a precise shot to the right of Willian Camargo. Angels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Juan Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ian Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Angels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Júnior Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir de Barros in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Valdir de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angels's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir de Barros in the 39th minute of play forced Itaquarari's goalkeeper Júnior Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir de Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júnior Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir de Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir de Barros in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júnior Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Anselmo Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angels's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Lucas having to interfere. A collision led to Itaquarari getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Serafim Toscano hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Itaquarari's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir de Barros came free, but Júnior Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Willian Camargo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ian Lira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Falcão Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaquarari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir de Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júnior Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Anselmo Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júnior Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willian Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Falcão Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Willian Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Itaquarari players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
