Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Estacado's Edu Palmeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chico Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Cosme having to interfere. Nelsinho Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Álvaro Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icatu SC. 8 minutes into the match, Edu Palmeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor Ortiz. Icatu SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Palmeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Percival Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Estacado's goalkeeper Álvaro Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Trancoso. Álvaro Cosme made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Chico Cardoso sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Estacado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Romero to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Fabiano da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icatu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amílton Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Armandinho Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Víktor Ortiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 24 minutes into the game, Armandinho Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Víktor Ortiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Nelsinho Vinhas could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Álvaro Cosme however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano da Silveira in the 42nd minute of play forced Estacado's goalkeeper Álvaro Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Icatu SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estacado were winning 0-3.

Luís Fabiano Maia hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Armando Trancoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Cosme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chico Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Edu Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Palmeira in the 64th minute of play. Álvaro Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano da Silveira in the 76th minute of play. Nelsinho Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Estacado booed when Icatu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Edu Palmeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Víktor Ortiz. The goal made the score 0-5. After 85 minutes, Luís Fábio França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icatu SC and the Estacado players grew even worse after the yellow card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Icatu SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Estacado. Luís Eduardo Brito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Víktor Ortiz. 0-6. Álvaro Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Cardoso in the 91st minute of play. 98 minutes into the game, Fabiano da Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Álvaro Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Estacado eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
