After a defensive mix-up in Spartan Legendary's zone, Falcão Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júnior Lucas. Itaquarari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Falcão Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Carlos das Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Zé Carlos das Neves made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Falcão Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Armandinho Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armandinho Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Spartan Legendary's Armandinho Cardoso got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Itaquarari booed when Spartan Legendary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Britos short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Júnior Lucas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
