Icatu SC's Chico Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Icatu SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Fabiano da Silveira made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Icatu SC booed when HOPE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chico Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Frank Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Trancoso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. HOPE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chico Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chico Cardoso got free with Frank Penha in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Amílton Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chico Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, HOPE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano da Silveira came free, but Frank Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, HOPE FC's Frank Penha got control of the ball when Chico Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Chico Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fabiano da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Icatu SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
