The Garos da Villa F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Lopes should have stopped the shot. Estacado's Edu Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estacado's Armandinho Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garos da Villa F.C's Arlindo Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Garos da Villa F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 19th play minute Armandinho Cavalcante came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arlindo Lopes. 2-0. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Palmeira was the one to do the kick off. Edu Palmeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arlindo Lopes having to make a save. 53 minutes into the match, Garos da Villa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Palmeira came free, but Arlindo Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Garos da Villa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Alcântara came free, but Arlindo Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Lopes came out of the goal and Edu Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Armandinho Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estacado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Edu Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Edu Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arlindo Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garos da Villa F.C's Arlindo Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Palmeira in the 83rd minute of play. Estacado's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
