In the 4th match minute, Angels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Costa to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Miliano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Marques in the 6th minute of the match. Adan Burutzagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Miliano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Costa in the 17th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Timbu EC got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Matorin. Juan Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Angels's Juan Queiroz got a free kick in the 30th minute. A collision led to Angels getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Juan Queiroz hit a great ball. When Adan Burutzagi came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Timbu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Burutzagi couldn't finish the play. If Adan Burutzagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Timbu EC booed when Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Adan Burutzagi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Timbu EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Károly Vörös had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. Angels succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Timbu EC had controlled the match.
