In the 3rd minute Sidney Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Tham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 3 minutes into the match, Sidney Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Åke Tham. Masipanos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute Donato Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Tham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sidney Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Åke Tham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Donato Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mensageiros da paz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Dante hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Åke Tham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Custódio's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Donato Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mensageiros da paz's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Tham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Custódio in the 29th minute of play forced Masipanos FC's goalkeeper Åke Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Sidney Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remo Novaes hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Sidney Almeida struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Åke Tham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mensageiros da paz. Åke Tham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Custódio's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 41 minutes, Donato Custódio made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Masipanos FC's Åke Tham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Åke Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Custódio in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Proença stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Mensageiros da paz's Donato Custódio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Åke Tham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teodoro Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breno Marinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Masipanos FC's Åke Tham got control of the ball when Sidney Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mensageiros da paz booed when Masipanos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breno Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Masipanos FC's goalkeeper Åke Tham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidney Almeida. If Sidney Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Marinho having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Donato Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Tham was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Masipanos FC's Åke Tham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Soares in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes Masipanos FC got a freekick which was hit by Remo Novaes. Sidney Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Mensageiros da paz's Donato Custódio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Åke Tham narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
