Natanael de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho de Carvalho having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Luís Eduardo Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Túlio Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Eduardo Prata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Luiz Lopez. Matutina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieguinho Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Luís Eduardo Seco's late challenge caught a Travessia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Eduardo Seco helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Matutina got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Seco. Pedro Luiz Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Amorim in the 63rd minute of play. Túlio Valle struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Andrézinho de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matutina. Thiago Trancoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrézinho de Carvalho having to make a save. Dinei das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrézinho de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dinei das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Andrézinho de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Seco in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Matutina had played much better football throughout.
