Masipanos FC's Anísio Braga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Breno Marinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Custódio in the 7th minute of play forced Masipanos FC's goalkeeper Åke Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Nunes in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Masipanos FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. João Francisco Alcântara hit a great ball. Mensageiros da paz's Jano Gonçalves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Masipanos FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Custódio in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Åke Tham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 20 minutes, André Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Masipanos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Almeida got free with Åke Tham in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Åke Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Custódio in the 31st minute of the match. Sidney Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Tham having to interfere. Sidney Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Donato Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The supporters of Mensageiros da paz booed when Masipanos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Sidney Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Almeida couldn't finish the play.
