Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Groggia FC's Oséias Perez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jânio do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mariri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jânio do Valle couldn't finish the play. Jânio do Valles short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Jaime Coelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaime Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Silveira in the 7th minute of the match. Jânio do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jaime Coelho made a huge save. Jaime Coelho stood somewhat misplaced when Rafael Silveira came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 10 minute. In the 14th minute, Bernardo Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 minutes, Perivaldo Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariri and the Groggia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Mariri got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Esteves. Jaime Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Silveira in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Groggia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Fábio Salles, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jaime Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jânio do Valle in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Jânio do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jânio do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Coelho having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Rafael Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariri and the Groggia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mariri getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rafael Silveira hit a great ball. When Diego Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Groggia FC's protests and gave Diego Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Silveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Rafael Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mariri's Jânio do Valle in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Groggia FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jaime Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Silveira in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rafael Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariri's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Jânio do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Silveira in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Mariri's Jânio do Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Mariri's Veit Gilg got control of the ball when Tales Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Perivaldo Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tales Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veit Gilg having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Mariri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio do Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Groggia FC's goalkeeper Jaime Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Rafael Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mariri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 95th minute, Eliseu França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mariri's Veit Gilg got control of the ball when Tales Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Mariri were the better team. Mariri's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
