Bebeto Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bebeto Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Bebeto Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Régis Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Claudinho Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Itapuan AD getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Luís Fernando Motta hit a great ball. Paulo Renato Peixoto's late challenge caught a Brenonalive FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Peixoto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Paulo Renato Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elano Novaes, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After 65 played minutes Itapuan AD got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Fontes. Elano Novaes, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Flavinho Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bebeto Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Claudinho Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráuzio de Mendonça was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Claudinho Vargas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudinho Vargas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Flavinho Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Soares in the 91st minute of the match.
