QUEBRA OSSO FC's Miguel Leão was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 12 minutes into the match, QUEBRA OSSO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Gomes came free, but Elvin Bourgouin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in QUEBRA OSSO FC's zone, Afonso Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvin Bourgouin came out of the goal and Afonso Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Iriri's goalkeeper Murillo Lopez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Leão. In the 24th minute, Miguel Leão made a precise shot to the right of Murillo Lopez. Iriri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Murillo Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Miguel Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iriri's goalkeeper couldn't reach when José Augusto Neto 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. In the 43rd match minute, Iriri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th match minute, QUEBRA OSSO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Paraense to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind QUEBRA OSSO FC's goalkeeper Elvin Bourgouin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Vidal to make the kick off. In the 54th minute José Augusto Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Iriri getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dé Dias hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Leão in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murillo Lopez saved Iriri from getting behind. When Tomé Barros fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored QUEBRA OSSO FC's protests and gave Tomé Barros a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Tomé Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Dário Nogueira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvin Bourgouin skillfully saved the ball. After 61 played minutes QUEBRA OSSO FC got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Neto. Iriri's Murillo Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Leão in the 64th minute of play. José Augusto Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Augusto Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miguel Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Iriri's Dé Dias got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Oséias Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iriri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséias Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, José Augusto Neto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murillo Lopez. Iriri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto Neto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, QUEBRA OSSO FC's Adrianinho Botelho got a free kick in the 91st minute. QUEBRA OSSO FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
