Naldo Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvinho Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes, Ciro Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Metropolitano U18 and the mirassol oeste-mt players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of mirassol oeste-mt booed when C.A. Metropolitano U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Metropolitano U18's zone, Luiz Eduardo Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Pimenta came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 played minutes mirassol oeste-mt got a freekick which was hit by Neji Kun. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Quirino was the one to do the kick off. Metropolitano U18's goal. Matías Urbano was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Luiz Eduardo Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Naldo Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Luiz Eduardo Rezende fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. López Aparicio struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Silvinho Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for mirassol oeste-mt. Silvinho Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Quirino in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Naldo Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. mirassol oeste-mt's Naldo Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luiz Eduardo Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldo Dantas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvinho Pimenta came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Dantas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 89th minute. Naldo Quirinos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Silvinho Pimenta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. mirassol oeste-mt played a much better game than C.A. Metropolitano U18 and deserved their victory. The C.A. Metropolitano U18 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
