When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Bebeto Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Bittencourt in the 52nd minute of play. Subiu Esporte Clube's Magno Toledo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jarbas Souto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 55 played minutes Potyrendaba got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Corrêa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tostão Corrêa during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bebeto Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bebeto Bittencourt in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarbas Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiago Gabriel de Barros's late challenge caught a Subiu Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Potyrendaba's Tiago Gabriel de Barros got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes in the game, Bebeto Bittencourt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jarbas Souto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Corrêa in the 92nd minute of play forced Subiu Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Subiu Esporte Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
