When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisinho Santos made a kick off. After some careless play in the Delvino FC defense, Zeca de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráusio Mazza. The Delvino FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráusio Mazza should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Delvino FC booed when Botafogo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delvino FC's Dráusio Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Santos in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Botafogo had played much better football throughout.
