Metropolitano U18's Silvinho Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Senna in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A. Metropolitano U18's Délio Prado got a free kick in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Metropolitano U18's zone, Jonathan Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Pimenta came out of the goal and Jonathan Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cacá Andrade got free with Luís Paulo Silva in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Paulo Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cacá Andrade went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Luís Paulo Silva had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Cacá Andrade from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Silvinho Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Senna in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's Sandrinho Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvinho Pimenta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tricolor dos Pampas FC reached it. If Jonathan Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu Couto came free, but Luís Paulo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeu Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeu Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Paulo Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeu Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Couto in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Silva saved Tricolor dos Pampas FC from getting behind. If Cacá Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tricolor dos Pampas FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Igor Martins hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute C.A. Metropolitano U18 were awarded a corner. Edvaldo de Barros went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on C.A. Metropolitano U18's corner Edvaldo de Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Paulo Silva quite easily take care of the ball. Cacá Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Luís Paulo Silva came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Metropolitano U18's Romeu Couto. But to his dismay, Romeu Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. C.A. Metropolitano U18 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tricolor dos Pampas FC for a fine match.
