Dorian Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jânio Magalhães made a huge save. Aba Futebol Clube's Antônio Carlos Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Linares in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ricardinho Linares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Carlos Guedes was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Duda Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jânio Magalhães having to make a save. If Zézinho Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Sport Noia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Fantini came free, but Jânio Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel da Silva during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
