Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicolas Brito started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Taio SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Itaperuna-RJ's Jaime Pena broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 6 minutes into the match, Taio SS's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Brito came free, but Faustão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Nicolas Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaperuna-RJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Paulista struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Faustão Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaperuna-RJ. In the 14th match minute, Taio SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Jaime Pena sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Taio SS's Faustão Marquez didn't even have to move. Faustão Marquez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaperuna-RJ's Fred Paulista. But to his dismay, Fred Paulista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fred Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Faustão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Patrick Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Faustão Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Cresconio in the 37th minute of play. Fred Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Marquez having to interfere. If André de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Taio SS's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Brito came free, but Faustão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Itaperuna-RJ booed when Taio SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Faustão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Toninho Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaperuna-RJ's Fred Paulista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Faustão Marquez. That made the score 2-2 after 66 minutes of play. Nicolas Brito scored 2-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustão Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Itaperuna-RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Paulista came free, but Mateus Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Taio SS's goalkeeper Faustão Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Cresconio. After 91 played minutes Itaperuna-RJ got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Brito.
