The coaching staff of Jericoaquara FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Washington Corrêa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jericoaquara FC:s Fred Leme showed great skill when he stopped Sandro Netto:s penalty. In the 9th match minute, Jericoaquara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Porto to maneuver through the defense. Fred Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Schmidt in the 14th minute of play. Fred Leme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Valle in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Narciso Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Leme made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Narciso Valle sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Jericoaquara FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Perivaldo Dracena hit a great ball. Fred Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Sanches in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cairú Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sidney Braga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fiori da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Pedrinho Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Pedrinho Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Fred Leme successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Schmidt in the 48th minute of play forced Jericoaquara FC's goalkeeper Fred Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho Zanette made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Narciso Valle made a precise shot to the right of Fred Leme. Jericoaquara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Narciso Valle took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Leme. Fred Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Pedrinho Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Sandro Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Jericoaquara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Valle came free, but Fred Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Sérgio Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Porto's late challenge caught a Cairú Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Porto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Eusébio Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Valle in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Elano Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Sanches went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Jericoaquara FC's Pedrinho Zanette slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sidney Braga. That made the score 3-1 after 83 minutes of play. Sérgio Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Leme having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Cairú Futebol Clube's Narciso Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fiori da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sidney Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cairú Futebol Clube support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
