Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Patrick Bueno got the match started through his kick off. Patrick Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Madureira having to interfere. After some careless play in the Saldanha defense, Patrick Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Madureira. The Saldanha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Madureira should have stopped the shot. Simão Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Patrick Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 17th match minute, Taio SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Saldanha's Valdir Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Paulista in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Saldanha's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Bueno came free, but Valdir Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Bueno in the 24th minute of play. Patrick Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Madureira having to interfere. Taio SS's Simão Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Saldanha's Faustão Marquez threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ricardo Sá, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Magno Souza came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Saldanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 45thth minute of the game Ricardo Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taio SS's Faustão Marquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Valdir Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Patrick Bueno took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Valdir Madureira to make any attempt to save it. Ricardo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 67 played minutes Saldanha got a freekick which was hit by Magno Souza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Bueno got free with Valdir Madureira in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, Saldanha's goalkeeper Valdir Madureira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Paulista. Antônio de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Valdir Madureira made a huge save. Valdir Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Bueno in the 80th minute of the match. If Ricardo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Saldanha's Ricardo Sá sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustão Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Taio SS got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Vides. The Taio SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Taio SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
