The St. Katherine s Docks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renan Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Fred Paulista might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renan Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Paulista ran back to his position shaking his head. Renan Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, St. Katherine s Docks's Fabrício Ramos got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute of the match, Fred Paulista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Renan Montenegro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Renan Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Cresconio went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Sarmento in the 69th minute of play forced Itaperuna-RJ's goalkeeper Mateus Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Renan Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Itaperuna-RJ's Adolfo Cresconio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renan Montenegro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The St. Katherine s Docks fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itaperuna-RJ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
