Lino Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Marquez having to interfere. Luizinho Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luizinho Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Simão Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Taio SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Paulista couldn't finish the play. If José Maria de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, Tacuarichim SC's Lino Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustão Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simão Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Bertassi having to interfere. José Maria de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Faustão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lino Costa in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustão Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Maria de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Marquez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Maria de Almeida in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Marquez saved Taio SS from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Costa made a kick off. Taio SS's Patrick Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Paulista took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilvan Bertassi. Gilvan Bertassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Tacuarichim SC's Lino Costa in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. José Maria de Almeidas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Faustão Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardinho de Amorim during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricardinho de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Afonso Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Faustão Marquez made a huge save. The supporters of Tacuarichim SC booed when Taio SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Faustão Marquez was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 76 minutes, Gilson Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taio SS and the Tacuarichim SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilson Furtado hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, José Maria de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacuarichim SC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
