Simão Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Braga having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sérgio Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cairú Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 78 minutes into the match, Taio SS's Alberto do Valle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Patrick Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Taio SS's Alberto do Valle got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sidney Braga. Antônio de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cairú Futebol Clube booed when Taio SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Sanches succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Taio SS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
