Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Erveira FC's Durvalino Sampaio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Soeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the game, André Luís Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Abelardo Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. André Luís Bueno in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abelardo Soeiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ademir Peres hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Guanumbi's André Luís Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erveira FC's Abelardo Soeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Erveira FC from getting a goal against them. When Francisco Peres came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Guanumbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd play minute André Luís Bueno came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abelardo Soeiro. 2-0. André Luís Bueno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Soeiro having to make a save. If Francisco Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 3-0 when André Luís Bueno sped through Erveira FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Soeiro. André Luís Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Soeiro having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

4-0 became the score in the 53rd minute when André Luís Bueno elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Enéas Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanumbi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erveira FC the free kick. Francisco Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Bueno in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, André Luís Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Guanumbi's André Luís Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 6-0 when André Luís Bueno sped through Erveira FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Soeiro. The attack was good, but when André Luís Bueno in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. André Luís Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmílson Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Soeiro having to interfere. In the 76th minute, one of Erveira FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Erveira FC. The referee gave Guanumbi a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André Luís Bueno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Erveira FC's Abelardo Soeiro. 7-0. Gilberto Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Abelardo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, André Luís Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 played minutes Erveira FC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto de Lara. There was no doubt that Guanumbi were the better team. Guanumbi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
