After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Albertinho de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. BOLA VERDE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertinho de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 34 minutes, Cristiano Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOKANELINHAS F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Bezerra having to interfere. Raí Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Mancio in the 38th minute of the match. When Cristiano Seco came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the SOKANELINHAS F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Seco couldn't finish the play. Donato Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Marques in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Marques to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Marques in the 54th minute of play forced BOLA VERDE FC's goalkeeper Donato Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfredo Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
