Meninos de CG's Cauan Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Meninos de CG from getting a goal against them. Cauan Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Falcão in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cauan Maia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Ponte Branca FC booed when Meninos de CG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Diguinho Mendes notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Meninos de CG's Cauan Maia. Cauan Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Meninos de CG fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Diguinho Mendes shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Wilson Alagoano scored 4-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cauan Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cauan Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Alagoano in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Meninos de CG's Luís Fábio Favoretto got a free kick in the 54th minute. Diguinho Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cauan Maia. Meninos de CG's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Ponte Branca FC's Aníbal dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauan Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 62nd minute, João Adolfo Recife ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. With a left leg Cauan Maia saved Meninos de CG from getting behind. Meninos de CG's Cauan Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Mendes in the 78th minute of play. Cauan Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Alagoano in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Aníbal dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Wilson Alagoano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ponte Branca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Cauan Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ponte Branca FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
