If Dedé Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 22 minutes, Dedé Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaquahy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benjamim Trancoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Itaquahy FC's Sidnei de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Tasso in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Queda's goalkeeper Benjamim Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Goiano. If Orlando Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidnei de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-2 became the score in the 43rd minute when Orlando Negri elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Itaquahy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Queda were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dito Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itaquahy FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Norberto Batista was slow to take the kick. During this time Queda's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Queda's corner Norberto Batista fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sidnei de Mendonça quite easily take care of the ball. Sidnei de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Bernardinho Tasso sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Adalberto Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaquahy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Queda the free kick. Adalberto Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Queda's Benjamim Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Goiano in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Goiano in the 78th minute of play forced Queda's goalkeeper Benjamim Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Queda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Velasco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Queiroz in the 82nd minute of play forced Itaquahy FC's goalkeeper Sidnei de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dito Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Itaquahy FC's Sidnei de Mendonça got control of the ball when Bernardinho Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernardinho Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei de Mendonça having to interfere. Dedé Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Queda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Queda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
