Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Meirelles in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aloísio Bastos got free with Osvaldinho Borges in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldinho Borges was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aloísio Bastos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. Betim FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Rogério Meirelles scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldinho Borges, making the score, 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Bastos during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges got control of the ball when Aloísio Bastos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Betim FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Rogério Meirelles scored to the left of an out of position Osvaldinho Borges, making the score, 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 53rd minute Rogério Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Guilherme Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Borges having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Betim FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Lopez. A collision led to Betim FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Afonso da Rocha hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Remo Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Bastos in the 65th minute of play. Aloísio Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Bastos in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Ismael Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldinho Borges. Betim FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Union Flush Star had played much better football throughout.
