The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Furlan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Aloísio Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Flush Star's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rogério Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Rodrigues was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. When Germano Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Union Flush Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Rogério Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luiz Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mundeus defense, Luís Guilherme Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Rodrigues. The Mundeus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Union Flush Star getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Germano Soeiro hit a great ball. Rogério Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Luiz Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mundeus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Union Flush Star were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rogério Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Rodrigues having to interfere. Luiz Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Soeiro in the 56th minute of play. Union Flush Star's Aloísio Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Mundeus's Luiz Rodrigues got control of the ball when João Augusto Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mundeus's zone, Rogério Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Rodrigues came out of the goal and Rogério Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aloísio Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luiz Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Tiaguinho Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mundeus and the Union Flush Star players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mundeus's Tiaguinho Gerber got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute of the match Remo Vides shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Rodrigues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Union Flush Star played a much better game than Mundeus and deserved their victory. The Mundeus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
