Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dino Cardoso started the match with the kick off. Iuri Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Borges having to make a save. Osvaldinho Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Fontes in the 10th minute of play. Ademar Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Aparecido having to interfere. Dino Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Guilherme Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ademar Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guilherme Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Gernando Cavalcante's late challenge caught a Betim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gernando Cavalcante helped the player get up and apologised. 23 minutes into the game, one of Gentio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges got control of the ball when José Pedro Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dino Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Aparecido having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Ademar Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Betim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademar Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iuri Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Osvaldinho Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iuri Fontes to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gentio's zone, Dino Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Aparecido came out of the goal and Dino Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Betim FC booed when Gentio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Fontes in the 56th minute of play forced Betim FC's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Iuri Fontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gentio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Osvaldinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iuri Fontes in the 65th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that José Pedro Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Borges was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Osvaldinho Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gentio booed when Betim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Alagoano in the 77th minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 82nd minute when José Pedro Alagoano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Marco Moreno's late challenge caught a Betim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Moreno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Marco Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Cardoso was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gentio's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
