The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Furlan in the 4th minute of play forced Gentio's goalkeeper Guilherme Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, Mundeus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Paraense to maneuver through the defense. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Adriano Albuquerque kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guilherme Aparecido. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cristian Furlan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Aparecido was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 20 played minutes Mundeus got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Vidal. Clemente Vidal's late challenge caught a Gentio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemente Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gentio booed when Mundeus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th match minute, Gentio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Aparecido having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Furlan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gentio's Guilherme Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Albuquerque in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Chiquinho Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mundeus fully deserved thier win.
