Gugu Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Capixaba in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Bueno in the 27th minute of play forced FrangoMal FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FrangoMal FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cássio Donatello hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FrangoMal FC's Belmiro Souza got a free kick in the 65th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Thomás de Lima sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Osvaldo Pitta threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Thomás de Lima this time. The supporters of FrangoMal FC booed when ITAJAI SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Carlos Augusto Capixaba notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ITAJAI SC's Gugu Cosme. Gugu Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Prado's late challenge caught a FrangoMal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Prado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Cacá Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Adilson Severo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ITAJAI SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
