Roger Silva started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Silva in the 3rd minute of play forced ITAJAI SC's goalkeeper Gugu Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SEG - DF getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Erivaldo Silveira hit a great ball. Roger Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 minutes, Thomás de Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ITAJAI SC and the SEG - DF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes SEG - DF got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Gaspar. Adilson Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Tróia having to interfere. In the 20th minute Adilson Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ITAJAI SC's Paulo Machado got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Tiago Nunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gugu Cosme skillfully saved the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Yuri Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gugu Cosme. ITAJAI SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuri Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Roger Silva took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gugu Cosme. Gugu Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Roger Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Cosme came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by SEG - DF's Roger Silva. But to his dismay, Roger Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 44 minutes into the match, SEG - DF's Roger Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gugu Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of ITAJAI SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SEG - DF:s goal. Tiago Nunes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

After a defensive mix-up in ITAJAI SC's zone, Roger Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Cosme came out of the goal and Roger Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bebeto Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SEG - DF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alfredinho Vinhas hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, ITAJAI SC's Thomás de Lima broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gugu Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Silva in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, SEG - DF's Jonas Baptista made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gugu Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, ITAJAI SC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Silva came free, but Gugu Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Gugu Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SEG - DF. The supporters of SEG - DF booed when ITAJAI SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes of play, SEG - DF's Jonas Baptista made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gugu Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roger Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gugu Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gugu Cosme made a huge save. After a rather tough play, ITAJAI SC's Bruninho Tepedino got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded SEG - DF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ITAJAI SC.
