Spectators: 7269 (Terracing: 5453, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Acácio França started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Lauro Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Guaraxaim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Lauro Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Trigo having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Maktub got a freekick which was hit by Silas Barral. 18 minutes into the game, Acácio França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maktub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaraxaim the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Maktub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio França to maneuver through the defense. Abel Abreu hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Guaraxaim's Ricardinho Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oséias Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaraxaim's Wahid Carro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio França in the 40th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guto Bastos to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Oséias Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wahid Carro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Baiano in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Guaraxaim's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Baiano came free, but Wahid Carro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acácio França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maktub's Arlindo Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, José Paulo Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maktub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaraxaim the free kick. After 81 played minutes Maktub got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Peres. In the 83rd minute, Oséias Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Baiano in the 85th minute of play forced Guaraxaim's goalkeeper Wahid Carro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes Guaraxaim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arlindo Lago who took care of the corner kick. 91 minutes into the match, Acácio França notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Guaraxaim's Wahid Carro. Wahid Carro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 94 played minutes Guaraxaim got a freekick which was hit by Artur de Moraes. If Raphael Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Maktub could leave the field as winners, despite Guaraxaim having more of the ball for most of the match.
