Marcel Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Maracacume EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Xupetovisk FC's Marcel Gaúcho got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Maracacume EC's Jarbas Velasco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rony Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xupetovisk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Vander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Xupetovisk FC's Arnaldo Marques got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Maracacume EC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Camargo. Faustão de Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Horácio Mendes. Maracacume EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio de Sena in the 17th minute of play forced Xupetovisk FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Xupetovisk FC's Marcel Gaúcho got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Xupetovisk FC defense, Basílio Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perivaldo Mazza. The Xupetovisk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perivaldo Mazza should have stopped the shot. Basílio Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perivaldo Mazza made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Basílio Andrade sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Maracacume EC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nilton Tande hit a great ball. Caio de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Mazza having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xupetovisk FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Perivaldo Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perivaldo Mazza had great luck who in the 45thth minute grab hold of the ball when Caio de Sena from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Claudinei Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Horácio Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caio de Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rony Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Caio de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracacume EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio de Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maracacume EC's Basílio Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perivaldo Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio de Sena in the 66th minute of play. Perivaldo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Andrade in the 71st minute of the match. If Basílio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Xupetovisk FC booed when Maracacume EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Caio de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Caio de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 played minutes Xupetovisk FC got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Porto. Maracacume EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
