Dorival da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes, B1 Vegetal's Serafim Motta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rogério Peres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in B1 Vegetal reached it. In the 6th minute Enéas da Silva collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Juninho Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juninho Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Paty FC's Juninho Borges got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Serafim Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Motta's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Paty FC's Dorival da Cunha got a free kick in the 15th minute. The throw-in from Acácio Melo in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paty FC's Juninho Borges. 19 minutes into the match, Dorival da Cunha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of César Silva, 1-0. Paty FC's Rogério Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Motta in the 29th minute of play. Rogério Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Motta's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Arnaldo Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rogério Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Serafim Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The B1 Vegetal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. During the 45th minute of the match Juninho Borges completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Juninho Borges a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dorival da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Dorival da Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Silva was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Romeu Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Zé Mendonça in the 61st minute really tested Rogério Peres's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dário Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but César Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Rogério Peres didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when B1 Vegetal's Serafim Motta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. When Jorginho Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the B1 Vegetal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. B1 Vegetal's Arnaldo Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafim Motta in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafim Motta in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Peres saved Paty FC from getting behind. From close distance Serafim Motta pressed in the 1-3 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 91 minutes into the game. After 96 played minutes Paty FC got a freekick which was hit by Délio Veloso. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. B1 Vegetal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
