Bernardinho Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Eger in the 3rd minute of the match. Ronaldo Arce struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Donje-Ljubinje. Bernardinho Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. William Eger took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardinho Magalhães. Bernardinho Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Caetano de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd match minute, Pesqueirinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Rosa to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Aguiar to make the kick off. William Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Bernardinho Magalhães made a huge save. After 54 played minutes Pesqueirinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Maia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Vander in the 56th minute of play forced Pesqueirinha SS's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ronaldo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donje-Ljubinje's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Caetano de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Donje-Ljubinje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano de Castro couldn't finish the play. If Caetano de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Donje-Ljubinje lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
