In the 2nd match minute, Paty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Paulo Travassos hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Délio Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Gustavo de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute Délio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Délio Veloso sent off a good shot on target. Diguinho Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Délio Velosos short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Luís Gustavo de Queiroz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute of the game Cacá Gaúcho made a throw-in which Pedro Paulo Travassos played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Aguiar in the 21st minute of play forced Paty FC's goalkeeper Rogério Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Diguinho Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pesqueirinha SS's zone, Délio Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz came out of the goal and Délio Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Délio Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Régis Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo de Queiroz having to make a save. Délio Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Peres came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pesqueirinha SS's William Eger. But to his dismay, William Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Régis Nóbrega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Veloso in the 55th minute of play forced Pesqueirinha SS's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Délio Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Gustavo de Queiroz was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 70 minutes into the game, Cacá Gaúcho threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paty FC's Dorival da Cunha quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Pesqueirinha SS booed when Paty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Nuno Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Délio Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paty FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Délio Veloso went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Délio Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo de Queiroz having to interfere. Luís Gustavo de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paty FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
