The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Linhares in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute Emílio da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fastama Top FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cléberson Trancoso hit a great ball. Arnaldo Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cristóvão Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gilson Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DunHill F.C.. In the 54th minute of the match Amílton de Sousa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson Meireles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Fastama Top FC's Celso Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gilson Meireles came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by DunHill F.C.'s Cristóvão Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Celso Souza hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fastama Top FC's goalkeeper Gilson Meireles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fastama Top FC's Gilson Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio da Fonseca in the 74th minute of play. Juan Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Adhemar Barbosa hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Gabriel Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Montenegro. DunHill F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Gabriel Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
