After a rather tough play, AC Dragons's Sérgio Rocha got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of AC Dragons booed when Flamengo CRF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elói Hoffmann during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Elói Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36thth minute of the game Hermínio Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Dragons's Michel Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AC Dragons's Michel Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Aguiar in the 38th minute of play. Allan Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sérgio Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Duda Pimenta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flamengo CRF's Duda Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco de Alcântara in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

João Francisco de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duda Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Flamengo CRF's Breno Silva seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Breno Silva the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Flamengo CRF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Breno Silva had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Breno Silva hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Flamengo CRF's Duda Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Nascimento in the 69th minute of play. If Sérgio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, João Francisco de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Dragons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo CRF the free kick. After 82 played minutes AC Dragons got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco de Alcântara. After having played for 85 minutes, Allan Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo CRF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute João Francisco de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, AC Dragons's Sérgio Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duda Pimenta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Dragons fans cheered their team off the field, for while Flamengo CRF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
