The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raí Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wanderson Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Dortmund's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Renatinho Leite ran over to the corner to take the kick. Renatinho Leite made a great header on Jesus Salva's corner, it was just that Dortmund's Vito Velloso managed to reach the ball for a save. If Joaquim Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
