Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1550, VIP seats: 50) DunHill F.C.'s Emílio da Fonseca started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão Teles got free with Sidney Montenegro in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DunHill F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Secura the free kick. Pedro Luiz Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Betão Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Secura's Léo Souza in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DunHill F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Valdomiro Palmeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emílio da Fonseca went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. DunHill F.C.'s Sidney Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Souza in the 26th minute of play. When Betão Teles came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Secura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Teles couldn't finish the play. Betão Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sidney Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Secura's Luís Gustavo Chaves suffered a sore thigh after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 36th minute, Betão Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bebeto Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Secura's Betão Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 48th minute, Emílio da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

In the 54th match minute, DunHill F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Travassos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Alfredão de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Secura's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredão de Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Secura's zone, Cristóvão Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Palmeira came out of the goal and Cristóvão Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emílio da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the DunHill F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. DunHill F.C.'s Pedro Luiz Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdomiro Palmeira was a little too slow when Emílio da Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-3. Betão Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sidney Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sidney Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Teles in the 87th minute of the match. Emílio da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Emílio da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the DunHill F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Palmeira. Secura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 97th minute, Betão Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The DunHill F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DunHill F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
